Twenty-one firefighters were called out this morning after a fire broke out in a Walthamstow home.

The cause of the blaze in the terraced property in Blackhorse Lane is currently being investigated but the London Fire Brigade has reported there were no injuries and nobody was in the home at the time.

Crews from Walthamstow and Tottenham arrived on the scene shortly after 5am and spent around 40 minutes putting out the fire.

Only a ‘small amount of damage’ has been caused, crews reported.
