Famous authors were in attendance at an awards afternoon yesterday at Redbridge town hall.

Children from across borough were invited to have books signed by authors, and they voted for the best children's and teenage book of the year.

The Redbridge Children's Book Award was won by Sharon Gosling for her novel The Diamond Thief.

While Kevin Brooks won the Teenage Book Award for his novel The Bunker Diary.
