Families with young children are invited to an annual teddy bears' picnic.

The event, open to children aged five and under, premiered to huge success last year with more than 50 families, in attendance and will be taking place at Jessel Green, Loughton, on Wednesday from 10am to 11.30am.

There will be various forms of entertainment present, such as an obstacle course, story time and a bear hunt.

Demand for places is so high a third event will be taking place, in Hillyfields, Loughton on August 19 from 10 to 11.30am.

For those looking for a more active way to pass their time, the second It’s A Knockout tournament will also be taking place at Jessel Green on July 12, from 11am to 3.30pm.

This year it will be joining forces with The Big Bounce, where there will be zorbing, bouncy castles, triangular football, and other activities suitable for all ages.

Refreshments and a barbecue will also be available.

Spaces for teams in It’s A Knockout have not yet filled up, so anyone with a team of 10 can register via Loughton Town Council on 020 8508 4200 or email contact@loughton-tc.gov.uk.
