The people of Abridge celebrated with a weekend of festivities including a motorcycle display team, classic car display and a summer ball.
The 29th Abridge Village Weekend held from Friday to Sunday was a little subdued by showers but still saw many friends and neighbours enjoying the stalls and entertainment.
John Filby of Abridge Village Hall said: “The summer ball was absolutely brilliant, as was the kids’ fancy dress and the classic cars.
“It was a shame we had showers because the motorcycle display team had to take out some of their more risky stunts in their later performance, they did do the fire jump though which was fantastic.”
Mr Filby also gave a special mention to Harlow cadets, who managed the parking at the event, saying they were a “credit to their squadron”.
