Two schools went head to head last week in their first ever staff cricket match.
West Hatch High School took to the field on June 27 playing against Davenant Foundation School after the game was arranged by members of staff last month.
Trainee Davenant teacher Ashley White and West Hatch’s acting head of PE Ray Flowers organised the match which featured seven male and four female members of staff from each school.
Mr Flowers said: “All members of staff bowled at least one over and did superbly.
“A lack of cricketing experience and a fair amount of wide balls unfortunately gave Davenant the win.
“Congratulations to all the staff that played and did West Hatch proud.”
