Pre-school and primary pupils enjoyed an annual early years activity morning.

Students from reception and year one at Nazeing Primary School in Hyde Mead were joined by Nazeing Pre-school and St Giles Pre-shool this morning for bean-bag throwing, face painting and cake decorating.

A total of 125 children joined in and, with lots of parent help and support, were also able to take part in bike riding, skipping and basketball with the highlight of the morning being  the bouncy castle and inflatable slide.

A picnic was also laid on in the school hall.

Organiser and year one teacher, Sian Manning-Swallow, said: “I’m very pleased with how the morning had gone and the children had thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”

The event is arranged every year to help pre-school children, likely to be at the school in September, familiarise themselves with the building staff and children.

The school also welcomes the pre-schools to assemblies and other activities throughout the year.
