Hundreds of disabled people enjoyed a fun filled sports day at Waltham Forest Pool and Track.
Last week, adults with learning disabilities took part in a sponsored run, athletics and a football and cricket competition.
Wheel chair basketball and sitting volleyball games were also offered at the council-run event, as well as Tai Chi and Zumba.
Free health checks were also offered to everyone present.
Cllr Angie Bean, lead Member for Adult Services, said: “These are always lively events and they can really help everyone keep fit, enjoy the different activities, try their hand at something new and meet new people.”
Nasima Jalil, a resident from Waltham Forest said: “I played volleyball in my wheelchair and I got a certificate for my efforts, which is great.”
Giuseppe Ricorda, another resident, said: “We came second in the cricket and received a medal, it was a day to remember.”
