Visitors and residents of Wood Street in Walthamstow can now share their thoughts, recommendations and tips about local businesses thanks to a new app.

The software which will also give live bus times, an events calendar and current volunteer opportunities has been invented to allow people to guide each other around the ‘vibrant’ area.

Social enterprise significant seams collaborated with App17, The E List, Transport for London data, and Do-It.com to create what they call a ‘hyper helpful, hyper-local app’.

Significant Seams founder Catherine West said that it will grow with local knowledge.

Named the ‘Wood Street Hub’ the app will allow Wood Street ‘experts’ to suggest the best places to eat, drink and socialise.

Aman Sadana, manager of the Wood Street Post Office said that she is very ‘pleased’ about the invention.

The app is available free to download from the Apple Store now.
