A leading animal charity has spoken out about a "callous" attack on a cat after it was shot in the eye.

The owners of the 10 year-old moggy named 'Alfie' believed their cat had been in a fight when it returned to their home in Mead Crescent, Chingford, with blood around his eye.

However, after taking Alfie to the vets, a surgeon found an air gun pellet lodged behind his eye and surgery was required to have his left eye removed.

Nasty evil bastards! Come on people you must know who done this, do the right thing and let the authorities know who this horrible excuse for a human is and get them punished for this evil act indeed perhaps the correct thing would be to do them what they've done to this defenceless animal but even if caught whats the bet all they get is a slap on the wrist if even that
