Travellers move on to land near Tour de France route
Around 10 traveller vehicles have moved on to land at North Weald Airfield, close to Monday’s Tour de France route.
The group, consisting of five caravans, a motorhome and two vans, set-up camp on the site in Hurricane Way, North Weald yesterday afternoon.
A traveller on the site who did not wish to be named, said: "We will try and move by the weekend that's all I'm saying, out of respect for the bikes that will go down here next week."
Police have been informed about the encampment.
