Over 500 pupils from schools across London, Essex and Hertfordshire have re-lived the London 2012 Olympics at the Lee Valley White Water Centre schools festival.
A total of 56 schools including St John’s School in Epping have been introduced to white water rafting for the first time today where they were faced with the same grade four rapids that challenged the world’s best GB athletes.
The centre was home to the 2012 Olympic canoe slalom event in which Team GB won both gold and silver medals.
