The chief instructor of a karate club has issued a plea for help to find a new home later this year after it was revealed their current one was to close.

Waltham Forest Pool and Track will close for refurbishment after the summer, leaving diving, swimming and sports teams needing a temporary home.

The Chingford and Walthamstow Karate Club, which will soon be celebrating its 30th anniversary, is one of the club's which use the pool and track.

Trainer Rod Butler, who is also a UKIP councillor in Waltham Abbey in Essex, said he needed to find a new home for the club for training to commence in November.
