The 21st annual Leytonstone Festival will kick off later this month with music, Morris dancing, comedy acts and special tours for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Organisers are promising the ten day event will be ‘bigger and better’ than ever before with some ‘sell out’ nights including ‘Pete Skiv’s Swingfellows’ at the Star of India.

Music from contemporary R&B to classic recitals will be performed at venues between July 10 and 20 with a big finale at the ‘What’s Cookin’ Picnic in the Park’ in Henry Reynolds Gardens on the last day.

This year, for the first time, food and wine tasting events will be held in Alymer Road.

St John’s Church will host an open day with ‘Blackhorse and Standard Morris Dancers’ as well as a special tour of the tower for visitors to enjoy the sunset over London on Thursday 17.
