An Epping scout group plan to cycle 96 miles on an exercise bike ahead of Monday’s Tour de France.
The 10 to 14-year-old boys from the 1st Theydon Garnon Scout Group will be pedalling 15 minutes each to replicate Stage 3 of the French cycling festival.
The group aim to pedal the route in a similar time to the world’s greatest cyclists at the Epping Town Show on Sunday.
Group chairman Trevor King said: “The boys have had no training and we plan to cycle around 20 to 25 miles an hour.
“If anyone would like to join in and do a cycling stint they are welcome to, we hope to get about 16 people cycling.”
