Police have issued a picture of a man who they would like to speak with after two women were attacked.
On June 7 police received a report of a sexual assault at the Billet roundabout underpass, Walthamstow at around 9.30am.
Nine days later on June 16 officers received information over a similar incident in the same location at 10.30am.
The man who police are attempting to track is of Asian appearance, aged in his 20s to early 30s and 5ft 8” -5ft 10".
He is of a slim build, with short black hair and stubble. He has been described as ‘scruffy’ with a pock marked complexion.
Detective Constable Tom McGee of Waltham Forest Police said: “Due to the upsetting nature of these incidents I am very keen to speak to the man pictured.
“The assaults involved the touching of the victims outside of their clothing and while this may not be as intrusive as a rape, the effects of such an assault can be devastating to the victim.
“While I don’t believe there is reason for alarm within the community, I do advise that a degree of care is taken by any women travelling alone.”
Information concerning these incidents should be passed to Detective Constable Tom McGee at Waltham Forest CID on 0203 276 0973 quoting ref: 4912248/14.
Those wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference 4912248/14.
