A residential care home in Chigwell is set to hold a summer fete to raise funds for a new mini bus.

Pinewood Residential care home will open its doors to the public offering an array of entertainment, activities and stalls including a tombola, homemade cakes, books and bric-a-brac.

Locals are also invited to join the home’s team and its residents in rounds of darts, hook-a-duck and tin can alley as well as a bouncy castle and face painting for the younger generation.

Funds raised on the day will go towards the Pinewood amenities fund, which will support resident day trips and provide a new care home minibus.

The public event will take place at the home on July 12 between 2 and 5pm.
