A charity shop in Loughton will celebrate their first anniversary this week by promoting the Great Donate.

Scope’s charity shop in High Road will be opening its doors and handing out donation bags in an appeal to obtain over one million items before the end of July.

Volunteers at the store hope the local community will get behind the campaign and help raise money to fund the disability charity’s annual drive to work with disabled children, adults and their families.

The store will also supply a variety of food and drink to celebrate the one year anniversary of their time on the High Road.

Scope Loughton manager Lily Reynolds said: “We really need the public’s help if we are going to reach our target.

“We would like to thank the local community for their support to our charity in the past year.

The event will take place at the Loughton store on July 10 between 1 and 3pm.
