Four students from a Loughton high school have had their work showcased at the National Students Art Exhibition in London.
Christy Gilbert, Florentia Stassi, Aaron Adeshida and Reanna Austin, of Davenant Foundation School, had their artwork selected to be shown at the event on July 8 which is held under the patronage of the Royal Society of British Artists (RBA).
Artist Christy Gilbert, said: "I’m so pleased that the four of us have been chosen and we would like to thank our teacher Mrs Bray for inspiring us"
The event celebrates art by gifted and talented students in schools, colleges and academies, alongside work from some of the country’s finest professional artists.
As well as the students being deemed as some of the ‘best young artists’ in the UK, pupil Aaron Adeshida also had his work recognised at the exhibition and became a scholar of the RBA.
Art teachers Anna Alexandrow and Lee Bray said: “We are extremely proud of the students and the tremendous work they have created.
“They all express clear talent and have futures as talented artists.”
