Members of the legendary Birmingham reggae outfit UB40 are to join their own cover band, UB42, at the Leyton Big Weekend Festival.

The festival that takes place next weekend, at the Leyton Cricket Ground, will also feature reggae superstar Gappy Ranks and a host of other activities, celebrating Caribbean culture.

The event is being organised by Waltham Forest council, and admission is free.

What a great idea - It's like Paul McCartney playing a gig with Oasis. My favourite UB4T song is the one about Walthamstow Village restaurants "There's a Rat in me kitchen whatamigonna do?"
