A 79-year-old woman has died and two others have serious injuries after a collision on the M11 involving a lorry and a car in Epping.
The lorry and a car collided at about 3.30pm yesterday between junctions 7 and 6.
The southbound carriageway was closed for several hours, so an air ambulance could land and police carried out an initial investigation.
The woman who died was a passenger in the car, while a man and another woman in the vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Anyone with information about events leading to the collision, should call the Essex Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk.
