A company has apologised after delays in opening a new landmark hotel.
The 14-storey Travelodge in Station Approach, Walthamstow, was due to welcome its first customers on June 23.
The company said work was taking “longer than anticipated” and apologised to customers who had booked rooms.
A spokeswoman said: “Unfortunately, as a result of this delay, all bookings that have been made for this hotel have been transferred to one of our nearby Travelodge hotels or customers have been refunded according to their preference.
"We would like to sincerely apologise to all affected customers and to the local residents of the inconvenience this delay has caused.
“The building team are working around the clock to get the hotel ready for business as soon as possible."
