Race caught Essex spirit
Thank you to the residents of Essex and the visitors who came to the county to watch stage three of the Tour de France on Monday.
It was a truly historic day for our county.
The atmosphere in towns and villages along the route in Essex was fantastic. The scenes of people watching the race along the route in Saffron Walden, Felsted and Epping were absolutely breathtaking. It captured the spirit of the people of Essex.
