Waltham Abbey, Ongar and Loughton leisure centres are set to offer free activity days in a bid to help people get active.

The Everyone Active operated centres will each introduce a jam-packed event as part of the Change4Life campaign which aims to improve the nation's health.

Each centre will run a range of different activies including swimming, gym taster sessions and group exercise classes between 9am and 5pm.

People are also invited to take part in sessions of table tennis, squash, gymnastics and trampolining as well as face painting and a bouncy castle for the younger generation.

Everyone Active Contract manager Kim Barnes said: "We are delighted to throw open our doors and welcome local people to try their hand at some of the fantastic facilities and activities on offer here.

"Our open day will offer something for everyone, whether they're sports mad, a fitness fan, a swimming enthusiast or simply enjoy hitting the gym."

Free activities will be available at Waltham Abbey Swimming Pool on Sunday 27 July and Ongar and Loughton Leisure Centres on Saturday 26 July.
