Casualties lined the road after a reconstruction of a serious car crash on Saturday, prompting a quick response from firefighters, paramedics and police officers.

Crowds gathered at Gilwell Park for a road safety event organised to educate people in Waltham Forest about every day dangers.

From 9am until 9pm emergency services offered advice, support and safety lessons to people of all ages.

A mock crash showed families just how important it is to stay alert.
