Iain Duncan Smith has retained his cabinet position despite facing sharp criticism for his controversial welfare reforms.

The MP for Chingford and Woodford Green remains sectary of state for work and pensions in David Cameron’s latest cabinet reshuffle.

He has been criticised for plans to introduce a single universal credit and changes to housing benefit.

Ongar MP, Eric Pickles, also keeps his cabinet job as communities and local government secretary.
