A man accused of a £5m fraud has appeared before magistrates.
Patrick Coppeard, of Spring Grove, Loughton, is charged with fraud by abuse of position and entered no plea at Chelmsford Magistrates’ court today.
He is alleged to have committed the fraud between January 1, 2008, and May 11, 2013.
Mr Coppeard, 49, will appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on October 6 for a plea and case management hearing.
