Teams of young drivers will represent their school in the British Schools Karting Competition final this weekend.
Ben Green, Oliver Longshaw and Jaiden Fenton from Debden Park High School in Willingale Road, Loughton, sponsored by Supergreen Racing will be joined by schoolmates Archie Lapidge, Jack Nichols and Connor Frost sponsored by MacLaren DPHS.
The Supergreen team qualified for the event at Whilton Mil near Northampton on Saturday, by winning the London and South East final in May and will make their second consecutive appearance in the finals.
PE teacher Graham Tongate said: “I’m very pleased to see that of the three teams we entered two have gone on to qualify for the national final.
Ben Green said: “It's been a great couple of seasons racing in the BSKC and we are looking forward to 'locking Horns' with the top teams from around the country.”
