A charity day raised more than £9,000 for guide dogs.

The open day at Guide Dogs for the Blind centre, in Manor Road, Woodford Bridge, on Sunday was attended by about 1,300 people.

It featured demonstrations and a chance to experience what its like to rely on a guide dog.

There was also a dog show, with a category for ‘waggiest tail’ and a game of musical statues played by dogs.
