Candidates announced for Broadley Common, Epping Upland and Nazeing by-election

Candidates for a forthcoming by-election have been announced.

The by-election for Broadley Common, Epping Upland and Nazeing will see four candidates standing for election.

The candidates are: Robert James Ozier (Conservative Party); William Graham Hartington (The Green Party); Ron McEvoy (UKIP); Arnold Verrall (Liberal Democrats).

The election was called following the death of the former councillor for the ward, Penny Smith, who died on June 12.

Polling will take place on August 7.

There is always a sadness surrounding a by-election caused by the death of the former representative. We will have a similar experience soon in Epping but represenation of the people must continue.
