Police in Waltham Forest have released two CCTV images of suspected thieves. 

The pair are wanted in connection with theft at Crest Waltham Forest in High Street, Walthamstow, on May 31 at 3.30pm.

Suspect 151511 and 151512 are accused of stealing a woman's handbag from a buggy inside the charity shop. 

Her handbag contained most of her personal belongings including her purse, bank cards, ID, and mobile phone.  

The CCTV images have been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.

Anyone with information is asked contact Waltham Forest police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

What was the owner thinking of leaving their handbag in the buggy! Unless your bag is held tightly under one arm so thieves cannot even get to the zip you are at risk. Sad sign of the times.
