An e-fit has been released after a man was randomly attacked in the street.

It happened in North Road, Ilford, at 6.40pm on June 15.

A 24-year-old man was approached by a man who asked for money.

When he explained he did not have any, he was punched in the back of the neck by a previously unseen man.

A fight ensued involving all three and the victim was repeatedly punched, receiving cuts from what is believed to be a bladed article.

The two men are described as Asian and in their mid-30s.

One was wearing blue denim jeans and a grey jumper.

He had short black hair and a beard.

The other man was wearing grey bottoms and a blue Italy football shirt with 'S.Azad' printed on the back.
