The M25 will be closed overnight for emergency repairs following a crash involving two lorries and subsequent diesel spill this morning.

The stretch between junction 25, for the A10, and junction 27, for the M11, on the anticlockwise carriageway will undergo resurfacing work from 10pm until 5.30am tomorrow.

There will be no access to the anti-clockwise carriageway from the M11 or J26, fro Waltham Abbey, and a diversion will be in place via the M11, A406 and A10.

The Highways Agency says it is taking all possible steps to minimise disruption and will open the motorway as soon as possible.
