Primary pupils have won awards for promoting safety to their peers.
A pair of year three pupils at Hereward Primary School in Colebrook Lane, Loughton, won the accolades in the national 'Stay Safe, Stay Away' poster competition to promote safety related to construction sites.
Georgia and Aliza were regional winners and each received a £100 gift certificate while the school was awarded a £200 book voucher.
A further two students, Brooke and Charlie, were regional runners-up.
Spiritual Moral Social and Cultural (SMSC) co-ordinator, Rachel Brooke, said: "We are so proud of the achievement of these pupils. They were so engaged in the project and this is reflected in the quality of the posters which they created."
