A meeting which will decide whether or not to give a licence to the new owners of a troubled bar has been postponed.
Waltham Forest Council’s Licensing Sub-Committee was due to meet tomorrow to decide whether or not to hand a licence to sell alcohol to new bar Dolce Vita, in Lea Bridge Road.
The bar is on the site of former Albanian business ‘Dajti’ which had its licence revoked six weeks ago.
In a six month period, officers visited neighbours of the bar in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, on 24 occasions – more than half of the visits were after 11pm.
Officers reported being able to hear music from inside homes with windows and doors closed, and issued warnings to the owner.
It is not clear when the meeting will be held.
