A vintage fair set up by a married couple as a hobby is to feature on a new series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

Antique experts Danny Harper and Christina Trevanion from the hit BBC programme will travel to Chingford in their classic cars, accompanied by two celebrities, on Saturday.

British journalist and broadcaster Dame Jenni Murray, and Baronees King of Bow Oona King, will be on the lookout for prized possessions and hidden gems at Lyndan Antiques and Vintage Fair inside St Teresa's Hall in Station Road.

The fair, run on the last Saturday of every month, was founded two years ago as a hobby by Danny Aldridge, 53, a former bus driver and his wife Lyn, 52.

The married couple of Oakdale Gardens in Chingford have also recently taken over a long-established vintage market at Woodford Memorial Hall in High Road, South Woodford.

The cast and crew will spend approximately three hours filming at the fair from around 10am to 1pm.

Mr Aldridge says the fair has something for everyone, and is excited about meeting Mr Harper.

He said: "He's a bit of a character and specialises in off-the-wall type goods so it will be interesting to see what catches his eye.

"This is a great advert for the fair and endorses the fact we sell decent stuff.

"They will be on our doorstep Saturday morning and if they know what they're looking for, there's always a bargain to be had."

Regular stallholders at the fair include dealers specialising in vintage perfume, Moorcroft pottery, medals and Masonic items.
