The 'Firecar' will engage with young drivers about road safety
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service has deployed a new vehicle in an attempt to reduce road collisions.
The ‘FireCar’, a Ford Focus ST 3, branded in red and yellow will be driven to events and gatherings of young people with modified cars to engage with and educate the groups about road safety.
It will be used in conjunction with police car safety initiatives involving young car enthusiasts and training days on the driving simulator at Waltham Abbey Fire Station in Sewardstone Road.
