I hope they throw the book at him and that the book is rather heavy. Telephone directory would do the trick.

There is a lot of untoward activity similar to this (but involving more than just one person...) that goes on in the various woods on and around Wanstead Flats, and it's a shame that the place is apparently a known "location" for this. The Flats are a beautiful place for walking and sports, family activity and wildlife, but are sullied with a reputation, and that's a shame.

the acts involving "more than one person" also go on over at Hollow Ponds at most times of day and night. I believe that the Corporation of London has closed the car park on Snaresbrook Road due to this. However, the rozzers are not interested in stopping in case they are accused of being "homo-phobic". It has nothing to do with sexuality, but everything to do with decency and protecting children.

I agree, DaveinTheForest. It's not about anything to do with who is doing what to whom. That doesn't make a bit of difference and is irrelevant. It's about things that should be private activities no matter who the partners are. Things that families, children and even adults do not want t be greeted with while trying to enjoy the area. Again, no matter who the people are, gay or straight or a couple of aliens from Mars.

This is about decency in public settings.

The phrase "Get a room" springs to mind.

I've seen blokes at it in broad daylight on the Flats.

Now we have hookers touting for business.

When. I was a schoolboy many years ago, I saw two dogs at it and a gentleman threw a bucket of water over them but as they were on the vinegar strokes, they unfortunately continued.

Shocking sight. Then again, these were days when dogs went around the streets of the village in packs and believe it or not, there was an awful lot more doggie doo do than there is now.
