Two men accused of causing a mass brawl outside a pub have appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Mark Jackson, 22, of Denner Road, Chingford, and Casey Dunlea, 20, Brantwood Gardens, Enfield, are accused of affray, and causing criminal damage to the King's Ford pub in Chingford Mount Road.

Jackson is also accused of assaulting a police officer during the late-night incident on March 16.

Appearing at court yesterday, Jackson pleaded guilty to affray and criminal damage but denied a third count of assaulting an officer.

He is due to be sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court on August 28 where the third count will be mentioned again.

Dunlea denied both counts of assault and affray and will appear again for a further plea and case management hearing, although a date is yet to be fixed.

Police were called to the scene following reports of a group of men fighting outside the pub at just after 1am on March 16.

Both men have been bailed and must not step within 20 metres of the King's Ford pub or The Harvester in New Road, Chingford.
