A woman has been air-lifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a train.
London Ambulance Service were alerted to reports of a woman in her 30s being hit by a train at Ilford station in Cranbrook Road at 11.59 am.
She was taken by London Air Ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Colleagues from the Metropolitan Police Service and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and discovered a woman had been hit by a train, sustaining serious injuries."
Ilford train station is currently closed.
