Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was struck by a train.
The woman, in her 30s, was air-lifted to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a train at Ilford station, Cranbrook Road at midday yesterday.
She was taken by London Air Ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel where she is in a 'stable but critical condition'
A British Transport Police spokesman said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was at Ilford station on Monday 28 July at or before midday, and might have seen what happened.”
