Children equipped with nets sought to discover the many different species that co-exist in a local pond.
Over 20 children took part in a ‘Healthy Pond’ dipping session at Ray Park, Woodford Green yeasterday.
Francis Castro, senior nature conservation ranger, said: “These events in summer are supposed to be fun, but I hope the children can take the vibrancy of ecology and the importance of environment health into later life.”
