A plea hearing date has been set for the seventh man to be charged in connection with the death of a businessman.
Ahmed Shah Hatimi, 30, of Richmond Road in Ilford, appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday and has been remanded in custody to reappear at the court on October 16.
He was charged with manslaughter and commercial robbery following the death of Shammi Atwal, 45, of Chigwell, on October 14 last year.
Mr Atwal was killed trying to defend his cash and carry business Glenn & Co from being robbed by a gang wielding sledgehammers and metals bars.
A group of six men were convicted on May 13 of manslaughter and conspiracy to commit robbery over the death in River Road, Barking, and sentenced to serve a total of 71 years behind bars.
Mr Atwal died after a struggled ensued with one of the robbers and he fell after being pushed into the pathway of an oncoming lorry.
