A free cycling and skate event for children is being offered at a school.

The event, organised by Skate Loughton and Loughton Town Council, is taking place between midday and 6pm on Monday at Roding Valley High School, in Brook Road, Loughton.

For children aged nine to 16, a circuit and portable ramps suitable for beginners will be set up in the playground, and free cycle safety services will be available.

The 9 year minimum age is just for the bikeability training, the rest of the equipment is open to younger kids with parental guidance.

The equipment can be used for Skate boards, BMX's , scooters and even roller skates.

Please make sure if you are coming that you have a cycle helmet.
