A traditional country show will take place this afternoon following the theme ‘A Tour de France’.

The 61st Toot Hill Country Show, expected to attract around 2,000 people, will take place at Bridge Farm, Stanford Rivers, Ongar, from 12 noon.

The event will feature live acts from Team Kinetix, a dynamic group made up of experts in free running, acrobatics and stage combat, as well as the Essex Farmers Pony Club who will perform in races.

The show’s competition marquee will offer classes and competitions in vegetable growing, cake making, preserves, crafts and flowers.

The day will also offer a variety of stalls including a raffle organised by the Toot Hill Village Hall and a bar set up by the Kelvedon Hatch Rotary Club.

Entry is £3 for adults and £1 per child.
