A teenager pleaded guilty to stealing bicycles from a school yesterday.

Michael Norman, 18, of Jaffe Road in Ilford, admitted two counts of theft from Wanstead High School in Redbridge Lane West on May 17 and 18.

He pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing but yesterday changed his plea at Romford Magistrates’ Court.

He has been bailed to appear for pre-sentencing at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on August 27.
