Police are hunting a man who posted pictures of himself online using a stolen phone.
A 59-year-old woman's home in Crownfield Road, Leytonstone, was burgled on April 4 at around 2:30pm after she went to pick up her grandchildren.
Burglars gained entry to her home through the front door as the handle was broken.
They stole a laptop and two mobile phones: a Samsung smartphone and LG.
Detectives closed the case due to lack of evidence, but it has since been re-opened after the victim's granddaughter started receiving WhatsApp messages from her grandmother's stolen phone.
The man pictured is suspected by police of handling stolen goods and having some connection to the burglary.
It has been released to the Guardian as part of a joint venture with the Metropolitan Police to identify potential perpetrators of unsolved crimes in the borough.
