A fire in a garden which engulfed a shed has been extinguished by three fire crews.

The 12sqm shed was set alight by a blaze which a neighbour reported was a bonfire which had gotten out of control in Lindsey Street, Epping.

A crew from Epping and two from Loughton were called shortly after 2pm and tackled the fire using breathing apparatus.

They managed to put the fire out by 3.17pm.

A woman and daughter at the property were unhurt and there were no reported injuries.

Having used the term "gotten" I am looking forward (not) to future articles using american style wording. When we have the next article regarding rubbish collection or dumping can we look forward to the word "garbage" being used.
