A Conservative councillor has been elected to the Epping Forest District Council following a by-election.
Robert Glozier is now the representative for Broadley Common, Epping Upland and Nazeing following yesterday’s ballot.
Cllr Glozier won more than 50 per cent of the vote with 155, 33 more than his nearest rival from UKIP.
There was a turnout of 18 per cent with 307 votes cast.
The by-election was called following the death of the former councillor for the ward, Penny Smith, who died from a short illness on June 12 aged 55.
