A ghost bicycle memorial has been placed at the site of the first cyclist to be killed in London this year.
Kevin Lane, from Rainham, Essex, died after being hit by a car at the junction of High Road and Forest Approach in Woodford Green in February.
The 52-year-old had worked as a CCTV operator at bus depot company Go-ahead, in Northumberland Park, Tottenham.
The memorial was placed at the site a few days ago, but it is unknown who placed it there.
Donnachadh McCarthy, co-organiser of Stop Killing Cyclists, said: "These memorials are a powerful message but it is usually friends and family who organise them.
"I hope the council does not take it down, we have had cases in London where some councils have refused to let them stay, but with nine cyclists killed this year in the city, these reminders are important.
