A newly-refurbished post office has opened in Chingford.

MP Iain Duncan-Smith officially opened the Chingford Mount Road branch on Friday.

The branch, inside Nisa Local, now has five serving counters and two screened counters, as well as extended opening hours from 8am to 6pm from Monday to Saturday.

Mr Duncan-Smith was joined at the launch event by branch manager Kamal Mandalia, senior stakeholder manager Simon Burman, and local residents.

The post office is now open for an extra 14 hours every week.

Still don't know why they need it in a shop?

I've been using it for ages, but have never bought anything in the actual shop.
